Leigh Barker, from Stagecoach East Midlands in Newark, received a commendation certificate along with a £100 Love2Shop voucher for his dedication to mental health advocacy, particularly through his work with the charity, Andy’s Man Club.
Barker’s recognition comes after colleagues nominated him for his tireless commitment to raising awareness about mental health issues. One nomination highlighted his initiative in branding two buses with Andy’s Man Club’s message, #ITSOKAYTOTALK, to encourage open conversations about men’s mental health. “I feel this would be well-deserved,” stated a fellow employee.
Another colleague emphasized, “He has done absolutely outstanding work promoting men’s mental health through his work with Andy’s Man Club.
