Bravo is set to introduce a new spinoff series titled The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip in 2026, as part of the celebration for the 20th anniversary of the iconic Real Housewives franchise. The announcement was made by Andy Cohen during the “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon 2025. This new series promises to take viewers on a cross-country journey, featuring beloved Housewives from previous seasons as they revisit some of the most notable locations from the franchise.
While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, the series will commence in Orange County, the birthplace of the franchise, and will conclude on the East Coast. The trip will include multiple stops, allowing fans to experience the journey alongside their favorite reality stars. The cast members have not been finalized, but they are expected to include a mix of familiar faces from the expansive universe of the Real Housewives.
Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming series, stating, “For two decades, The Real Housewives has amplified women’s voices, spotlighted their ambition, humor, and strength, inspiring millions with their unapologetic authenticity.” She described the series as a “love letter” to the women who transformed a reality show into a cultural phenomenon.
This announcement follows the success of the first Ultimate Girls Trip spinoff, which premiered in November 2021. The inaugural season featured prominent Housewives, including Cynthia Bailey and Teresa Giudice, vacationing in Turks and Caicos. Season two, which began airing in June 2022, brought together former Housewives such as Taylor Armstrong and Vicki Gunvalson at Dorinda Medley‘s Blue Stone Manor in Massachusetts, earning the subtitle “Ex-Wives Club.”
The third season premiered in March 2023, with a cast that included Gizelle Bryant and Porsha Williams exploring Thailand. The fourth season, which debuted in December 2023, featured former stars from The Real Housewives of New York City in Saint Barthélemy.
Despite the excitement surrounding the new series, recent controversies surrounding the franchise have drawn attention. A lawsuit filed by Caroline Manzo in January 2024 against Bravo and its production companies accused them of encouraging cast members to consume alcohol to the point of intoxication, leading to inappropriate behavior during filming. The lawsuit claims that Brandi Glanville engaged in non-consensual actions towards Manzo while intoxicated.
In response, Glanville’s legal team described the allegations as “defamatory” and emphasized her innocence, asserting that she acted in accordance with production requests. The situation has sparked discussions about the responsibilities of production companies in ensuring the safety and well-being of their cast members.
During the panel at BravoCon 2025, Cohen hinted at future developments for the Real Housewives of New York City franchise, stating, “we’re close” to sharing more information. As anticipation builds for The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip, fans can look forward to a nostalgic celebration of two decades of reality television history.
