Frances T. Rennick, a cherished member of the St. Clair community, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at the age of 88. Her final days were spent at the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville, where she was surrounded by love and care.
Born on September 15, 1936 in St. Clair, Frances was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Ditcavage) Flanagan. She was proud to be a graduate of St. Clair High School, and her professional life included significant contributions as a seamstress at the St. Clair Garment Factory. Frances was a dedicated member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union (ILGWU) and later retired from her position at Jetson Mail Services in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
Family and Community Legacy
Frances was an active member of the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair, where she fostered connections with many in her community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Teno Rennick, who passed away in 2020, and two sisters, Margaret Gregory and Maryann Hosler.
She is survived by her children: Linda Breisch and her husband Nelson of Hershey; Michael Rennick and his wife Susan of St. Clair; and Lisa Kurilla and her husband James of Port Carbon. Frances also leaves behind four grandchildren: Jimmy Kurilla and his wife Kaitlyn; Brittany Schenck and her husband Jordan; Matthew Breisch; and Kevin Breisch. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kamryn Schenck and Oliver Kurilla. Frances is further survived by her brother, John Flanagan of Port Carbon, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Arrangements
A memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on August 29, 2025, at the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church located at 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair, Pennsylvania. The service will be officiated by Msgr. William Glosser. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassus Hospice, located at 500 Hawk Ridge Dr., Suite 4, Hamburg, PA 19526, to support their vital work in end-of-life care. Burial will take place privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
The arrangements are being managed by the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home in St. Clair. Frances T. Rennick will be remembered for her warm spirit, dedication to family, and contributions to her community.
