American Global Strategies LLC has appointed The Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO as a Senior Advisor, effective March 16, 2026. With extensive experience in international diplomacy and economic policy, Ambassador Sinodinos will bolster AGS’s team of global experts. His previous role as Australia’s Ambassador to the United States significantly strengthened the U.S.–Australia alliance during his tenure.

Ambassador Sinodinos played a pivotal role in major strategic initiatives, including the AUKUS security pact, the Quad framework, and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. These efforts enhanced cooperation between the United States and its partners in the Indo-Pacific region. His diplomatic career is complemented by a solid foundation in public service and private sector roles.

Extensive Background in Government and Industry

Before his diplomatic service, Ambassador Sinodinos was Australia’s Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science and represented New South Wales as a Senator from 2011 to 2019. He held various senior positions within the Australian government, including Cabinet Secretary and Assistant Treasurer. His contributions to economic policy and national industry strategy have been significant throughout his career.

Sinodinos began his public service in Australia’s Department of the Treasury, where he advanced to the Senior Executive Service. Following the election of Prime Minister John Howard in 1996, he served as Senior Economic Adviser and later as Chief of Staff for nine years, influencing key government policies.

In addition to his government roles, Ambassador Sinodinos has substantial experience in the private sector. He has worked with Goldman Sachs JBWere and the National Australia Bank, and has held positions on the boards of several companies and non-profit organizations. Currently, he chairs Hypersonix Launch Systems and advises organizations involved in funds management and critical minerals.

A Prominent Voice on U.S.–Australia Relations

Ambassador (ret.) Robert C. O’Brien, Chairman of AGS, praised Sinodinos for his expertise. “Arthur is one of the most respected voices on the U.S.–Australia alliance and Indo-Pacific strategy,” he stated. His wealth of experience in government, diplomacy, and industry will be crucial as AGS supports clients navigating the complexities of the current geopolitical landscape.
