UPDATE: Ten innovative startups are gearing up for a chance to win a share of $95,000 in prize money at Great Bend Economic Development’s IGNITE Rural Business competition. The finalists were announced today, marking an exciting moment as the competition heads into its third year.

This year’s competition promises to be more thrilling than ever, culminating in a high-energy live finale in October 2025. Finalists will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and a live audience, with one standout business winning the grand prize of $50,000. Additional prizes of $30,000 and $10,000 will also be awarded, along with a $5,000 People’s Choice Award.

  • Happy Girl Flower Shop by CC Radenberg – A full-service floral shop specializing in custom arrangements.
  • The Fiesta Cart With Dani LLC by Daniela Yazmin Garcia – A mobile dessert cart serving mini pancakes with creative toppings.
  • Kansas CPR Training by Dean Nuss – Provides CPR and first aid training to individuals and businesses.
  • Let’s Play Cafe by Erica Valles – An interactive space for children to play and learn while parents relax.
  • Tailored Financial Solutions by Lance Taylor – Offers bookkeeping and financial services for businesses.
  • Tankquility Aquarium by Brad Fanshier – A retail aquarium store with a variety of aquatic life and supplies.
  • The Bin Wranglers by Wrangler Walker – A waste management service that deep-cleans trash cans.
  • Coach K9 Training by April Steinert – A dog training academy focusing on positive reinforcement.
  • Great Bend Play Place by Billy and Kassandra Eldridge – An indoor play center for children.
